About
Prior to beginning an independent practice I worked in agencies counselling rape survivors (Toronto Rape Crisis Centre) and families in crisis (COSTI, the Coalition for Family Services and the Italian Counselling Centre ).
My Masters degree is in Counselling Education from Simon Fraser University. I also obtained a Professional Teacher’s Certificate from SFU. My B.A. (Psychology) is from York University. I have a Social Services Certificate from Seneca College.
I researched and taught empathy at Simon Fraser University. I have facilitated workshops on image and eating disorders, sexual and emotional abuse and intimacy issues.
I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario). As well, I am a member of the OAMHP (Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals).
Experience and credentials aside it is the inside that speaks. It is the private work that we do together that is my greatest privilege.
I am a strong advocate for self care. My personal regime includes:
- holistic care,
- meditation,
- visualization,
- journaling,
- daily yoga.
My ongoing professional development is through training at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto (www.gestalt.on.ca) and international Gestalt studies (www.aagt.org).

Based on my personal association and experience with Ema, I am strongly confident in her professional attributes and skills for helping and caring for others in need of her expertise.
She lends a very holistic and powerfully positive approach towards others and caries a non threatening sense of confidence in all that she does.
I would not hesitate to recommend her services for those in need of specialized support.
